I vividly remember growing
up in the small village of Bath, Illinois. My dad was the Postmaster there
and always working on our farm when he got home. My mom
was, and still is, one of those great mothers who are always there for you
when you needed someone. I was lucky and very
blessed with a great childhood in a great home because of these two
wonderful people.
I also remember my
fascination with cameras and taking pictures even during my early
childhood. Somehow I got my hands on an old Kodak
Brownie 127 Box camera, which was my most cherished possession. When one of
my photos was published in The
Mason County Democrat, this eight-year-old kid was
hooked. If my career was not
born at that time, then its conception had certainly just occurred. My
love of photography has never changed since
those early years. Photography has taken me all over this old world of ours
working with lots of very interesting people and businesses throughout the
many years since that very first photo in the MCD. I must say that it was
people like Neil Braendle, Bob Martin, Sr., and Bud Cullinane who saw fit to
encourage me in those early years that I am thankful to. Fred Schnell, an
incredible man who also possessed great talents with camera and pen, became
one of my closest friends
in Chicago. Like many who knew him, his passing was a great
loss to myself and this world.

The above is a quote from "Batman Begins". I have
been lucky enough in my life to work with a lot of great
people and companies. I have always believed that people should not be
judged and definitely not judge themselves on what they have done or what
they have. Sure I am proud of my accomplishments over the last 50 years of
my life but you can't live on what you did in the past, I strongly believe
that it is what you do today and tomorrow is what defines who we are.
So to answer your question, "Who is Ted Connolly?" Just a guy who would rather not be known as a guy who did this or that, or a guy who owns this or that, or a guy who's rich monetarily; I would much rather just be the guy who will try his best to do something today and tomorrow the best he possibly can regardless of the odds or conditions.
With quite enough said here, let’s get on to what I do best and allow me to show you just a few of the places I have been, the sights I have captured, the incredible faces that made me smile, and yes; even those things which placed a tear in my eye.
