Fire DestroysFamily Home Recently while Doug Pratt and his wife Lori were sleeping as a thunderstorm raged outside around 1:30 am their daughter Kayla smelled smoke coming from the upstairs portion of the house. After awakening her dad, he gathered his family and their family pets and escaped the home and called 911. Both Havana Departments (City and Rural) along with Kilbourne and Bath Departments responded to the scene. Sadly all their efforts could not save the home or it's contents.
The family has lost everything and are currently staying with family but
thankfully no one was injured. One unidentified fireman was treated for
smoke inhalation and released at MDH. The family has not asked for help
but losing all your personal belongings is very devastating and I am
sure that there is a lot of things
that they could use. If you would like to contact
Doug and his family you can do so at 309-357-2665 or by email at
